Worlds collide as Doctor Who meets Sherlock Holmes
Stars of tv's Doctor Who, The Archers and No Place Like Home, swapped the TARDIS for a ferry, and space travel for Sherlock Holmes, to appear together in show on the Isle of Wight, at Shanklin Theatre.
The sixth doctor, Colin Baker and his evil nemesis, Dalek boss Davros, aka actor Terry Molloy, found themselves working together, in the somewhat more traditional roles of Holmes and Doctor Watson, respectively.
Their performance saw a radio play version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles performed live, to a theatre audience.
It came complete with coconut shells, to create the sound effect of horses' hooves and the use of wellington boots on a bed of gravel, to mimic the sound of walking.
