Worthing pier: People vomiting with sore eyes after 'hazardous incident'

Emergency services have been forced to evacuate a pier in Worthing after holidaymakers complained of sore eyes and vomiting.

Sussex Police said they are responding to a hazardous material incident and are bringing people off Worthing pier.

"A small number of people have reported symptoms including sore eyes and vomiting," a spokesperson for the force said.

"The investigation is ongoing and we will release more information as soon as we are able to."
