'WOW!': Conditions Worsen Quickly as Francine Hits Louisiana
Wild wind gusts and heavy rain hit southern Louisiana on Wednesday, September 11, as Hurricane Francine made landfall.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said Francine made landfall in the Parish of Terrebonne as a Category 2 storm at 5 pm, carrying winds of up to 100 mph.
Louisiana and neighbouring Mississippi declared states of emergency and told residents to take shelter.
