Wuhan Railway Promotes Return to Normality With 'Wuhan Sets Off' Video
Wuhan’s railway company has released a promotional video entitled ‘Wuhan Sets Off’ in order to promote the resuming of train services after the city’s 76-day lockdown to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
The footage, posted to the Weibo page of Wuhan Railway on April 8, shows various scenes of Wuhan Railway workers prepping trains and preparing the city’s travel hubs – including Wuhan Railway Station and Wuhan Hankou Station – for business.
Travel restrictions in and out of Wuhan lifted on April 8, Xinhua reported, and the first train to make a stop at the city – picking up 442 passengers – was en route to China’s southern city of Guangzhou.
Similar promotional video was released by the Wuhan Metro, which reopened on March 28, to encourage ridership and a return to normality after nearly 11 weeks of lockdown. Credit: Wuhan Railway via Storyful
