WWE SummerSlam results 2019: The full list of winners

The most important date in the summer wrestling calendar rolled into Toronto last night as SummerSlam returned for another spectacular night of action.

A vintage year for the 32nd SummerSlam saw Seth Rollins claw back the Universal Title from Brock Lesnar in a show-stopping main event on Sunday evening. Champion Kofi Kingston defended his title against Randy Orton in a thrilling fight which ultimately came up short thanks to a double count-out - which led to the champion temporarily losing it and battering Orton with a kendo stick. Expect this particular feud to run and run.

Rollins' stunning frog splash through the commentary table was the highlight of their match which later saw him claim victory over his old foe via pinfall to cap off an entertaining show, which nonetheless took a little while to get going.

Earlier on in the night, Raw Women's Champion 'The Man' Becky Lynch defeated Natalya with a tap-out in their submission match.

Crowd favourite Trish Stratus made a final return to the ring as she looked to bag a victory in her retirement match against Charlotte Flair, but was overpowered by The Queen of All Eras who eventually came up trumps in the night's first truly great match.

Elsewhere, Kevin Owens saved his career by defeating Shane McMahaon in a classic example of sports entertainment taken straight from the Attitude Era's playbook.

The legendary Goldberg took on and beat Dolph Ziggler in their bout, AJ Styles defeated a Nightwing-inspired Ricochet while Bayley retained her Smackdown Women's Champonship after beating Ember Moon in their match.

However, the plaudits must to go to the debut of The Fiend, whose horrifying entrance was perfect in setting up a victory against a clearly terrified Finn Balor. The captivating match saw The Fiend wrestle with his split personalities and use the Mandible Claw as a finisher.
