Wyre Forest general election candidates in 2024

Labour claimed the Wyre Forest when Tony Blair seized control in 1997 - and they are targeting the seat again in the 2024 General Election. Wyre Forest is generally a blue seat - and last time round was won by Tory Mark Garnier.

However, with pressure on the Conservatives up and down the country, it is one of hundreds that Labour want to take to seize power. The constituency takes in Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport-on-Severn.

Rishi Sunak is defending an 80-seat majority from last time - but it seems an uphill task this time round. Wyre Forest is also under pressure too, if Electoral Calculus is to be believed - it is predicting a Labour win this time round.

It would be a major turnaround for Kier Starmer's Labour party - Mr Garnier won more than 65 per cent of votes last time around
