X Factor 2016: Four of Diamonds are sent home and fans are confused about Dermot O'Leary's double eviction
Girl group Four of Diamonds were sent packing from X Factor tonight, ironically on Boyband vs Girl Group week. Which they really should have had in the bag.
The girls were up against the mighty voice of Saara Aalto in the sing-off, but there has already been a lot of controversy this year, which has seen both Gifty Louise and Relley C sent home while Honey G remained. (She’s done it again, folks.)
For once, the judges made the right decision and sent home the girl group, who have been nicknamed Lidl Mix on Twitter.
Saara is so much more talented than Lidl mix ???? #XFactor

There was controversy and more shouts of the show being a fix when fans on Twitter complained about not being able to vote using the lifeline on the app.
I mean I'm not saying it's a *total* conspiracy that I got locked out of my iTunes account just as the lifeline vote opened but #xfactor

Elsewhere, lots of people were excited, then just plain confused when Dermot announced it was a double eviction – and then promptly forgot about it.
Reinventing the double eviction by only sending one act home. Unless Louis is also getting his P45. #XFactor

@TheXFactor what was all that about a double eviction and then it didn't happen???

We kind of thought we’d imagined it to be honest.
So there are just seven acts left as we edge nearer to the final. Who do you want to see crowned X Factor winner 2016?
