X Factor 2016: Simon Cowell admits he's 'embarrassed' after his toe is mistaken for his penis

Saturday night’s X Factor sent viewers into a tizzy for a multitude of reasons.

Not only were fans of the show horrified by some of Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell’s decisions on who to take through to the live shows, they were also stunned when Simon appeared to flash, erm, ‘little Simon’, during Judges’ Houses.

Viewers flocked to social media following the unfortunate camera angle, with Simon’s close friend, David Walliams, even getting in on the action by joking about his “wardrobe malfunction” on his own Twitter page.

Now Simon has admitted that he was “embarrassed” by the mishap, setting the record straight on The Xtra Factor Live last night.

Speaking to hosts Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmondson, the father-of-one shared: “Before anything else, I want to clear up toe-gate.

“It was just my toe. It was quite embarrassing when I saw it online but it was just my toe.

“I have a very large toe.”

You got that, guys?

Here’s hoping there aren’t any more awkward accidents during The X Factor’s live shows, which kick off next week.
