X Factor 2018: LMA Choir and Janice Robinson booted from competition after Guilty Pleasures week

LMA Choir and Janice Robinson have become the next two acts to leave The X Factor live shows.

Ayda Field sent the decision to deadlock, leaving it in the hands of the earlier public vote, after the four failed to reach a verdict.

But it was her husband Robbie Williams who lost one of his acts after LMA Choir were booted out over Brendan Murray.

Teacher Stephanie told host Dermot O’Leary that she is the “proudest tutor” before a stunned Williams said that he “didn’t see it coming”.

Robinson was given the boot from the competition in the first part of the show after failing to manage enough public support to save her from the bottom of the 14-strong pile.

Shock reverberated around the studio at the decision, with judge Simon Cowell continued to stand throughout Robinson’s entire exit speech.

Robinson told O’Leary that “another door will open” for her and spoke briefly about her visually impaired daughter being able to “see her in her heart” before embracing Field.

Robinson had been one of the strongest on Saturday night in the eyes of the judges comments, receiving praise for her song - Show Me Love - while other acts were slated for their tracks.

Field now has two acts still in the competition, with the loss of Olatunji Yearwood last week, while Williams has three.

The X Factor continues Saturday November 2 on ITV with a Halloween special.
