Hot on the heels of releasing her comeback single on Friday, X Factor winner Louisa Johnson has revealed that she feels much more in control of her life now than she did after winning the show in 2015.

Speaking on today's (March 18) Sunday Brunch, Louisa opened up about the "growing up" she had to do before settling in a place where she felt comfortable enough to release new music.

"I just wasn't really happy with what I was doing music wise," she explained. "I wanted to be myself a bit more. I didn't know who I was, and now I've kind of found myself."

The singer also shared that the number of opportunities presented to X Factor winners is a bit overwhelming, and she's now trying to pick what she gets involved with care.

"I'm just trying to be a bit careful about what I do," she added. "I've just grown up a lot, and I think I wanted it so badly and I rushed too much. And now I've just found this nice position that I'm in and I'm just kind of being myself a little bit more, and taking it easy.

"I feel so in control, it's amazing."
