X Factor: Eric Cowell Reveals His Favourite Act

Little Eric Cowell – spawn of the omnipotent X Factor judge Simon – has revealed his favourite act in this year’s series of the hit ITV show.

And what do you know, it’s none other than Samantha Lavery – one of his dad’s acts.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Samantha said that two-year-old Eric was just like a mini-me of his dad:

“He came running up to me in the corridor the other day and told me I was his favourite.

“Eric’s like a mini Simon – seeing them sit next to each other is scary.”

“It’s really sweet watching Simon with him.”

“He’s a great dad and you can tell he is very protective.”

It’s not the first time Eric’s got involved with the show - he delighted viewers the other month when he went to surprise Simon at work for Father’s Day.

Samantha also revealed that Simon’s an excellent mentor – and is always there
with advice to hand.

She said: “He is always telling us girls how much he believes in us, which is a nice confidence boost.

“Simon really cares about our happiness.

“He has said that if we are ever unhappy with something, we have to let him know.”

“He always gives me his honest opinions and will tell me where he thinks I can do better,” said the singer..
