X Factor judging groups finally revealed
The X Factor auditions came to an end this evening (September 23) with the Six Chair Challenge awaiting the singers next week.
This means that the judges had to send half of the contestant onto the grouping stage, while the other half would sadly go home.
So, with the intensity-meter off the charts, the judging groups were unveiled.
Simon Cowell was given the 'Girls', Robbie Williams the 'Groups', Louis Tomlinson the 'Boys' and Ayda Field the 'Over 28s'. Each seemed pleased with the outcome before embracing their groups of would-be pop stars.
Earlier on in tonight's show, some viewers weren't very happy with the fact that this year's X Factor had ditched the bootcamp process.
Many fans writing on Twitter were completely outraged by its removal, citing the bootcamp stage as one of the show's shining elements.
With this change to the singing contest's format, those singers who were sent through their auditions still risked being sent home without getting another chance to perform, which understandably raised eyebrows. Perhaps with this social media uproar – the producers might consider bringing it back for 2019?
No boot camp?? Why they be messing with this so much? 😡 #XFactor

Bootcamp is such a great part of X Factor and it's way more entertaining than six chair challenge, so why the heck have they got rid of it? #XFactor

Why is there no bootcamp? What’s the point in putting people through to say say no straight away?! Pointless. #XFactor

There’s not been that many acts audition cos there is no bootcamp and going straight to 6 chair challenge???? Excuse me but bootcamp makes or brakes them. If Zayn Malik didn’t have bootcamp about his dancing One Direction may never have been #xfactor

No boot camp?? What's the point in saying yes to so many people, then to just say no and send them home without hearing them sing again?? #Pointless #XFactor

Bit unfair that they don't get to sing again #XFactor pic.twitter.com/rYYgwlmNLV

They got a yes and then don't even get a chance to perform again? That's really bad. #XFactor

No boot camp?! That’s always been such a huge part of this show. #XFactor is a mess this year.

Sadly, the lack of bootcamp this year will mean special moments like this don't have a chance of repeating themselves.
The X Factor continues next Saturday (September 29) on ITV.
