X Factor: Matt Terry’s Secret Boyband Past Revealed Ahead Of Tonight’s Live Show

So it’s transpired that X Factor favourite Matt Terry isn’t quite the musical amateur we all thought he was.

It’s now emerged that he was part of a short-lived boy band called ‘Far Too Far’, and with a name like that, it’s not hard to see why.

Anyway, Marvin Humes’ little brother Jackson was also in the band with him, but despite the celebrity connections it doesn’t look like things ever really got off the ground for the three-piece.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Matt has given the impression on the show that it’s his first time experiencing the music industry but it’s simply not true.”

“Although Far Too Far never made it big, they did have a loyal fan base and spent a long time working on their career as a group.

You sure about that hun? Don’t you think if they were that successful we might have actually heard about them?

The source continued, saying: “It’s strange he has decided to keep it such a secret as it was bound to come out eventually.”

Hmm, just as the show lost it’s most talked-about contestant. Yeah, funny that.

The paper says that the band formed in 2013, but only lasted a year – despite trips to the US to record with producers and meet with big record labels.

It’s believed that Matt’s dream of solo stardom proved to be the final nail in the coffin.

A source from the X Factor told The Sun that there was nothing shady going on: “Matt joined the band for a few months while he was in college.

“He is still on good terms with the other members of the group and one has even come down to support him in the audience at the live shows.”
