This evening's (September 22) X Factor auditions saw the classic 'Nessun Dorma' performed by Cezar Ouatu, a Romanian-Italian previously known for appearing on Eurovision.

Judge Simon Cowell spoke to the singer briefly about his background before Cezar completely won over London's Wembley Arena.

To say this was unexpected would be one hell of an understatement.

Softly spoken and naturally reserved, the leather-jacketed vocalist broke down in tears following his performance which was received by a standing ovation from the whole judging panel.

If you hadn't guessed already, Cezar sailed through to the next round.

Twitter users were blown away by the singer's operatic talent, posting their love for Cezar for all to see.

With tonight's choice of track in mind, will Cezar be able to replicate his success further down the X Factor rabbit-hole?

Last week, "overconfident" swing singer Scott Wilkes was criticised by fans for his egocentric performance, ripping his shirt off at the end of the song whilst the audience fell awkwardly quiet.

"Ladies and gents I've got a quick question for you this evening," he asked. "Give me a cheer if you want me to take my shirt off."

Scott further pleaded with the audience,"Are you sure?" before unbuttoning his shirt completely and whipping it off.

Even new judge Robbie Williams told him to tone it down. Now that's saying something!

The X Factor returns tomorrow night (September 22) at 8pm on ITV.
