Cher Lloyd pregnant: X Factor star reveals she's expecting first child

X Factor star Cher Lloyd has revealed that she’s six months pregnant with her first child.

Sharing her news with fans on social media, Lloyd posted a photo of her growing bump on Wednesday.

She captioned the image: "I am beyond thrilled to inform you all that my husband Craig (Monk) and I are also expecting our first child in May!!!”

"We are absolutely over the moon to share this news with you all."

Lloyd and husband Craig Monk are set to become parents in May this year, in what the TV star declared a “new chapter” in her life.

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter also revealed she's been working on new music, set to be released later this year.

The Swagger Jagger singer took the opportunity to address her time off social media, in order to return to her “happy place” and produce “great music”.

She said: “I know it seems like I’ve been quiet for a while but I wanted to take this opportunity to bring you all up to speed on what I’ve been up to over the last year.

“I decided to take some time away from the public eye to focus on what really matters and get back to what I truly love doing.”

The model also divulged details on her “collection of amazing new songs” that she admitted she “cannot wait to share”.

“Thank you all for being so patient, as you now know, I’ve been a busy little bee but I promise it’ll be worth the wait! I’m excited for all that 2018 has in store for me and I can’t wait to see you all very soon!”, added Lloyd.
