Mulder and Scully are getting back to work on a brand new season of The X-Files.
This isn't some underground conspiracy theory from the likes of the Lone Gunmen, Fox finally gave fans the news that'd been hoping for by order ten more episodes of The X-Files starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
In addition to bringing back Duchovny and Anderson, The X-Files creator Chris Carter will return as a showrunner and executive producer as well for the 10th season.
"Iconic characters, rich storytelling, bold creators – these are the hallmarks of great TV shows. And they are some of the reasons why The X-Files has had such a profound impact on millions of fans worldwide," Fox president David Madden said today.
"Chris' creativity, along with the brilliant work of David and Gillian, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon, and we can't wait to see what fresh mysteries Mulder and Scully uncover in this next chapter of The X-Files."
