XXXTentacion baby: mother reveals his girlfriend is pregnant with his 'final gift’

The mother of late rapper XXXTentacion has revealed that his girlfriend is currently pregnant with his baby.

Cleopatra Bernard dropped the bombshell news by sharing an ultrasound with fans on Instagram on Thursday, describing the imminent arrival as a “final gift”.

While she decided not to elaborate further, Bernard suggested that the baby is her son’s with his, as yet unnamed, girlfriend.

XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was attacked in what police suspect was a robbery in Miami, Florida, on Monday.

He was leaving RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach shortly before 4pm local time when he was approached by two men, with at least one of the suspects shooting him, Broward Sheriff's Office said.

The musician, who was facing domestic violence charges, was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

XXXTentacion's lawyer, David Bogenschutz, said investigators believed the slaying was a random robbery.

His brief career was marked by controversy. In 2016, he was arrested on charges including home invasion for a 2015 incident, and less than a month later was jailed on charges that he attacked his girlfriend, who was pregnant at the time.

Hip hop stars including Kanye West, Diplo and Juicy J paid tribute to the rapper in the wake on his death.

Along with a picture of the dead rapper, West wrote on Twitter: "Rest in peace I never told you how much you inspired me when you were here thank you for existing."
