XXXTentacion death: Kanye West, Jidenna and other musicians pay tribute to the murdered rapper

Following the news that XXXTentacion died at the age of 20 in south Florida, fan tributes to the late rapper have poured in on social media.

Multiple shots were thought to have been fired by gunmen as the rapper - born Jahseh Onfroy - left a motorcycle dealer where he had been shopping.

Fellow musicians and celebrities posted to social media to pay their respects to the late rapper.

Kanye West wrote, "Rest in peace. I never told you how much you inspired me when you where here. Thank you for existing."

"I’m at a loss for words… speechless #RIPXXXTentacion," Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker tweeted. "Loved collaborating with you. You were a true artist, one of the most f****** talented of our time."

"Rip @xxxtentacion this is absolute devastation so much talent I’m shook," tweeted Aaron Carter.

Diplo wrote, "The two leaders of this entire wave of hip hop are dead now. If you really want to revel in their deaths I will block you. No time for negativity."

"R.I.P @xxxtentacion," Jidenna posted. "No one can be so self-righteous that they are happy when a youth dies. The young still have the capability to reform. God bless the kids. #xxxtentacion."

Rapper Juicy J also shared his condolences for the rapper tweeting, "R.I.P. XXXTentacion."

Singer Kiiara wrote, "I can't find the words. My prayers are with you and ur loved ones. Rest in peace @xxxtentacion."

"This got me f***** up," tweeted J. Cole. "RIP X. Enormous talent and limitless potential and a strong desire to be a better person. God bless his family, friends and fans."

Because of X's raw lyrics about suicidal thoughts and his battle with depression, he gained a large following for his music.

However the rapper remained a controversial figure in the music world due to multiple allegations of domestic abuse against him.
