Øya Festival announces Kendrick Lamar, Arcade Fire and Wolf Alice for its 2018 event

If you missed out on tickets to his massive DAMN. tour, don't fret: Kendrick Lamar appears to be playing just about every great music festival in Europe this year.

Following the announcement that the hip hop star will be performing at Flow Festival in Helsinki, it was revealed that he will also be playing Øya Festival, which takes place in Oslo, Norway.

Lamar will be joined at Oya by Arcade Fire, Wolf Alice, J Hus, Brit Critics' Choice winner Jorja Smith, and Friday headliner Lykke Li.

Øya Festival has consistently been named by The Independent as one of the best in Europe, thanks to its dedication to curating superb lineups which are hugely diverse; beautiful setting, and dedication to the environment.

Last year it was praised for offering an escape from the somewhat dry lineup for festivals in the UK where headliners were dominated by white male rock acts, hosting everything from homegrown pop acts to British post-punk, US hip hop and Jamaican reggae.

Oya Festival takes place from 8-11 August, tickets are on sale now.
