Exclusive Yahoo! video: Student protesters march in London

Thousands of students descended on London to protest the rise in tuition fees amid a huge police presence on Wednesday.

4000 police officers watched closely as protesters made their way through the streets, in scenes that mirrored tuition fee demonstrations a year ago. Met Police chiefs have been criticised for securing the authority to use baton rounds after last year's protest descended into violence.

Despite this the Met ensured that the rounds would only be used in "extreme" circumstances.
