The Great British Skinny Dip is coming to the Isle of Wight this September.

Yaverland Beach will be hosting the charity event, where participants will be leaving clothes (and care?) in the car park.

The event is part of a nationwide campaign to raise the profile of naturism and to promote body positivity and good mental health.

Seasoned skinny dippers and nudie newbies are all encouraged to join in, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

What is naturism and why is skinny dipping coming to the Isle of Wight?

Naturism is a lifestyle of practising non-sexual social nudity in private and in public.

Interest in this way of life is growing like never before, with more people understanding the health and well-being benefits according to British Naturism.

  • The stripped swimmers will be taking to the sea on September 17 between 7.00 and 8.00 am

There is no charge to join but eager participants are urged to donate to the British Heart Foundation, or get themselves sponsored for the disrobed dip.

Similar events will be held in 30 locations around the UK as part of the national skinny dip for 2022.
