Yellow weather warning for thunderstorms for the Island

Expect more thunderstorms for the Isle of Wight tonight (Wednesday) into tomorrow.

The Met Office says we could see a return of thunder and lightning between 7pm tonight and 3am tomorrow.

A yellow be aware weather warning has been issued.

Forecasters says, spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

It also warns there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services, as well as possible power cuts and of a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, with damage due to floodwater or lightning strikes.
