It's over for yet another Love Island couple. No judgement if you're already crying…
It's been just about six months since the Islanders left the sunny beaches of Mallorca to test out their love back home in the UK… and quite frankly, the casualties have been stacking up ever since!
One by one, the pairs fractured at home: from Laura Anderson and Paul Knops, to 'The Queen of Loyalty' Georgia Steel and Sam Bird, to Samira Mighty and Frankie Foster, to more recently Wes Nelson and Megan Barton Hanson (#JusticeForTheirHamster)... and now, sadly, Adam Collard and Zara McDermott.
Love Island fans always feared that Adam would break Zara's heart like he did to Rosie Williams, Kendall Rae-Knight and Darylle Sargeant, and it looks like he did just that, going by Zara's latest Instagram post.
"I am heartbroken to announce that Adam and I have parted ways," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "I love him very much and will always have a special place in my heart for him and our time spent together. I have tried so hard to be the best person I can possibly be and to make it work."
Zara went on: "Sometimes in life, you just aren't enough for someone; no matter what you do for them or how much you try to be. For everyone asking if I'm okay, I don't know that I am.
"But I know that soon I will be. I will be strong enough and prove to myself that I can get through this."
Adam has yet to respond on his own Instagram account.
With Adam and Zara now over, fans' only real hope for a Love Island wedding from the 2018 cast now rests on winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham. Just don't count on a TV wedding special.
