BabyMonster, YG Entertainment’s first girl group since BLACKPINK, will debut with one less member later this month.

What’s up: Ahyeon, one of BabyMonster’s three South Korean members, will not debut due to “personal reasons,” YG announced on Wednesday. The label later cited “health issues” and promised to offer her help so she can return.

“We feel sad to not be able to show Ahyeon as Babymonster,” YG said, according to Korea JoongAng Daily. "But we promise to provide her with all resources so that she may return in her best condition.”

Debut details: YG recently set Nov. 27 as BabyMonster’s debut date. The group, which follows labelmate predecessors 2NE1 and BLACKPINK, was originally slated to launch in September but was delayed due to track considerations.

With Ahyeon’s exit, the group will debut as a sextet with two Korean, two Japanese and two Thai members. They include Haram, Rora, Asa, Ruka, Chiquita and Pharita.

As of press time, YG has released teaser clips for Chiquita and Asa.
