New York Senator Pleads for Increase in Testing Capacity

New York state senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick posted a video showing people lining up for COVID-19 tests in front of an urgent care center in Nanuet, New York, on December 23.

According to the post, hundreds waited for the rapid tests as the state witnessed a surge in cases driven by the Omicron variant. “This is an emergency situation, and New York State must immediately increase testing capacity in Rockland County,” the senator said.
