New York style pizza parlour in Cornwall is serving 18-inch whoppers
A New York-style pizza parlour has opened its doors and is serving up huge slabs of the cheesy stuff for just £3.50. Bassos Pizza Parlour, located inside Par Market and Food Hall, near St Austell, opened at the end of August.
Dishing up giant pizzas, Par Market says they are so massive they make rival pizzas look like appetisers. Selling individual slices and full-size, 18-inchers, the dishes are larger than any size sold by popular pizza chains.
Brought to you by couple Andrew and Louise, a spokesperson for the marketplace said: "Their passion for each other is only rivalled by their passion for creating the most epic New York style pizzas. These slices are so big, they’ll have you questioning your loyalty to anything smaller."

Currently, there are four pizza types on offer; margarita, pepperoni, mushroom and thyme and Hawaiian. A margarita will set you back £3.50 a slice with the others at £4 a slice.
The spokesperson continued: "Our pizzas are bigger than your appetite and packed with flavour that’ll have you coming back for more." But you can buy whole pizzas if your heart desires.
Par Market Food Hall is open from Wednesday through to Sunday, from 11am to 5pm. The market is only open every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
Bassos joins another new food venture for Par Market, Yan's Kitchen, which opened in early August. The traditional Chinese food stall is cooking up dishes from General Tso's chicken to pork dumplings.
It's part of a shake-up at the Par Moor Road centre, which opened for the first time as an indoor shopping complex back in 1991. Yan's is serving up authentic Chinese food including homemade dumplings. Read that full story here.
