New Yorkers Brave Outdoor Dining as Winter Storm Moves In

Some brave New Yorkers were filmed dining outdoors as the first winter storm of the season moved through the city on December 16.

The storm hit the city days after bars and restaurants were forced to close their indoor dining amid rising coronavirus cases. This footage was filmed outside Baby Brasa on Seventh Avenue South and Perry Street.

The National Weather Service said 6.5 inches of snow and sleet was recorded by midnight in Central Park, more than the 4.8-inch total for all of the 2019-2020 winter season. Credit: Erin Spadola via Storyful
