New Yorkers Wade Through Floodwaters Amid Weather Warnings

Severe storms swept through New York City on Monday, July 18, causing flash flooding across parts of the city.

The National Weather Service issued a flash-flood warning for Manhattan, the Bronx, Yonkers, and New Rochelle on Monday evening and urged residents to move to higher ground.

This footage shows residents in the Inwood neighborhood wading through floodwaters, one of whom is waist-deep in water. Other footage verified by Storyful shows water cascading into nearby Dyckman Street subway station.
