Our Yorkshire Farm's Reuben Owen opens up on leaving Ravenseat as he looks to the future
Our Yorkshire Farm star, Reuben Owen, has opened up about leaving Ravenseat Farm.
During an episode of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda Clive and Kids', the audience saw Amanda Owen, along with her brood, take on the mammoth task of reviving a dilapidated farmhouse, doing battle with the relentless weather of the Dales at one of Britain's most secluded construction spots.
During the show, Amanda shared her hopes for the refurbishment project and revealed her aspirations for some of her offspring to leave the family's Ravenseat Farm and shift into the new digs someday. Reuben also expressed his own wish to relocate from the family nest sooner rather than later.
Speaking about the acquisition of the property, Amanda admitted: "When Anty John's was put up for sale, it was a dream come true, really," She continued, "It is a little farm cottage with a barn attached, just short of 40 acres."
Clive made his contribution, noting: "It is nice to own a piece of this wonderful valley, and because there are so many of us, a house is certainly going to come in handy because who will live there? We haven't even thought about that; we have no idea, but somebody will."

Amanda further discussed the investment, saying: "This is for the future," and concluded, "Because, of course, with all these children, they all need a place they can call home."
Reuben later confided to the camera during the episode: "Other than Ravenseat, it is probably one of the only places I'd consider living happily."
During the latest episode, which aired on Monday, Amanda also made a rather grim discovery about the people who used to live at Anty John's.
Amanda visited Derek at the County Record's Office, where they unearthed the former owner's diary, which confirmed that he had died at the property.
As they delved deeper into the family tree, attention turned to John Clarkson, the property owner Anthony's son and the last Clarkson to dwell at Anty John's.
John's inquest paperwork also lay amongst Derek's findings, offering a grim account of his final moments. Reading the records, Amanda shared: "The body of the man, aged about 81, is lying dead at Smithy Home (Anty John's).
"Time of death 6am, 5th December 1900. At about 9am on Tuesday, the housekeeper, Anne, proposed to send for the doctor, but the deceased would not hear of it."
She shared her thoughts on the discovery, saying: "I know it's kind of morbid, but it sort of humanizes people when you hear about it. So basically, we know in 1900, the last Clarkson died upstairs in a bedroom at Smithy Home."
Our Farm Next Door: Amanda Clive and Kids is set to return to More4 next Monday at 9pm.
