McDonald’s have claimed that they were hacked after an official Twitter account linked to the fast food giant launched a furious attack at Donald Trump earlier this afternoon.
The tweet read: ‘@RealDonaldTrump you are a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have @BarackObama back, also you have tiny hands.’
The scathing message was deleted shortly after it was posted, and a follow-up tweet has now claimed that the account, which boasts over 150,000 followers, was compromised.
Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.

Apologising, they wrote: ‘Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.’
It wasn’t long before Twitter reacted to the hack.

Donald Trump is yet to respond directly to the hack – but we can’t help thinking that an angry response won’t go down too well, after his tweets were categorised by popularity and found that his love of verbal rants wasn’t favoured by the American public.
