Young driver escapes injury after flips over in crash with fence

A young driver escaped injury after his car crashed into railings and flipped over. Emergency services were sent to Cenetery Road in Silverdale following the collision yesterday afternoon (September 29).

They found a white Vauxhall Corsa Ecoflex and the driver - a man in his 20s - was out of the vehicle.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called at 5.15pm yesterday to Cemetery Road in Silverdale, Newcastle-under-Lyme, following reports of a collision. Officers attended and a white Vauxhall Corsa Ecoflex was found on its side, in collision with metal fencing.

"The driver and sole occupant, a man in his 20s, was out of the vehicle when we arrived. He did not report any injuries and declined medical assistance. The vehicle and debris were recovered from the road."
