Young man, 24, dies in Glasgow Green tragedy after 'taking unwell'

A 24-year-old man has tragically died after taking unwell at Glasgow Green on Sunday.

Emergency services rushed to the incident at around 11.15am on February 2, and the young man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Sadly, he died a short time later. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended following a report of a 24-year-old man having taken unwell at Glasgow Green around 11.15am on Sunday, 2 February, 2025.

"The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

The tragedy comes as runners took to the park on Sunday morning to take part in the Glasgow 5k, 10k and Half Marathon Winter Warmer Run.
