Young Welsh fly-half stars as Ospreys repeat South African heroics
Young Welsh fly-half Dan Edwards ran through the card as the Ospreys repeated some of last season's South African heroics with a 37-24 bonus point win over the Stormers at the Brewery Field.
In front of Wales coaches Warren Gatland and Rob Howley, the 21-year-old gave them something to think about ahead of the autumn - accounting for 20 of the Ospreys' points.
Wales openside Jac Morgan and uncapped scrum-half Reuben Morgan-Williams - named man of the match on his 100th appearance for the club - crossed for the Ospreys' other tries, with a late penalty try sealing the bonus point.
Last year, a bonus point win in Cape Town proved crucial to Toby Booth's side sneaking into the United Rugby Championship play-offs. This clash, in the slightly different surroundings of Bridgend, helped the Ospreys kickstart their season after last week's last-gasp defeat to the Dragons.
The visitors struck first, with Leolin Zas touching down after the Stormers found joy exploiting the wider channels.
The boot of Dan Edwards got the Ospreys on the board, before Jurie Matthee knocked over a couple of penalties to stretch the South African outfit's lead.
However, a superb team try from the Ospreys got them back within touching distance. Having found a bit more joy with their carries in midfield, they created space out wide for Owen Watkin to step through after some patient build-up in the 22.

The centre drew his man before feeding Morgan-Williams on his shoulder. Even though the scrum-half was dragged down just short, Wales flanker Morgan wouldn't be denied as he forced his way over from close range.
Edwards appeared to have brought the scores level from the tee for half-time, only for Matthee to restore the Stormers' lead with the final kick of the half.
The away time moved further ahead after the break, with a drop-goal from Springbok Damian Willemse, only for Justin Tipuric - in his final season of a superlative playing career - to take over for a couple of minutes in order to lay the foundations for the Ospreys' second try.
After a inch-perfect kick to touch pinned the Stormers back on their own five-metre line, the flanker then dragged the driving maul into touch - handing the Ospreys an attacking lineout.
From that, strong carries from Keiran Williams and Dewi Lake got the Ospreys to within touching distance - with scrum-half Morgan-Williams sneaking over on his milestone appearance.
Edwards' nerveless drop-goal from 45 metres out pushed them further ahead as the match headed towards the final quarter.
Then, with 15 minutes left, came the pick of the bunch. A well-rehearsed lineout move saw Lake throw over the top for centre Williams to claim the lineout, with the one-cap Wales international then pulling back a pass to send Morgan-Williams racing through a gap.
The scrum-half chipped over Willemse before regathering and offloading to send half-back partner Edwards under the sticks, sending the Bridgend crowd wild.
With 10 minutes left, second-row JD Schickerling got over for the Stormers to set up a tense finish.
However, after surviving all that the Stormers could muster, the Ospreys would have the final say - with their powerful maul dragged down short of the line for a penalty try as the clock went red, capping a mightily impressive victory with a bonus point.
