Young woman aspiring to become astronaut raises funds to attend Canadian academy's pilot training

In this video, a young woman calls on generous people and the Indian government to help her pursue her dream to become an astronaut. Udhaya Keerthika, from India's state of Tamil Nadu, has recently been accepted to a Canadian academy. Unfortunately, the young woman can't afford to pay the tuition fees. Keerthika is now raising funds to apply for a student visa and attend the pilot training in Canada. "I need a total of Rs 50 lakhs," she says in the clip. Footage shows the awards she has received so far as well as the certificates of her qualifications. She obtained a degree in aircraft maintenance engineering in Ukraine and attended ten astronaut training courses in Poland. The clip was filmed on August 1.
