Noel Edmonds and Phillip Schofield had a cat fight on Twitter on Thursday – six months after the pair first locked horns on This Morning over the supposed cause of Noel’s prostate cancer.
The Deal or No Deal star randomly tagged Schofield in a fresh tweet about the link between cancer and negativity and reignited their heated debate.
The household name appeared on This Morning earlier this year and was left fuming when Phillip and Holly Willoughby failed to believe his claim that cancer can be triggered by negativity.
He thought they stitched him up and made him look crazy over the comments and following the interview, 67-year-old Noel – who survived prostate cancer – said: “Phil, if you are unlucky enough to be seriously ill, I promise I wont be so callous and I will show you respect, sympathy and compassion.”
He went on to accuse the pair of being “aggressive, disrespectful and dishonest”.
Writing on Twitter last night, Noel dragged up the awkward debate and tweeted Phillip: “Negative people are more vulnerable to serious illness and premature death -source Cambridge Institute & today Harvard University.”
Phil replied: “But were they incredibly insensitive and tactless in their delivery of said research?”
Agree to disagree? Uh, no way.
Clearly not over Phil’s snub all those months ago, the TV legend said: “@Schofe I posed a question in response to abuse You corrupted the truth and made a fool of yourself. Your ego is larger than your intellect.”
“@NoelEdmonds must be awful to brood for so long! Are you being negative?” Phil hit back.
“@Schofe point proved. I rest my case.”
Having the last swipe, Phillip sniped: @NoelEdmonds thank God for that.”
