And now he is using the event as comedic material in his new stand-up tour. In exclusive footage obtained by MailOnline, Walsh is filmed mocking his affair and its aftermath.
“You never think you are going to be on the front pages. People dressed up as me for Halloween. It was bizarre!”
“But if you’re going to cheat, do it indoors!” he told his audience at a London comedy club on Monday night.
Walsh, clearly poking fun at the fact that he was caught kissing Jones outside a Marylebone, London pub, went on to admit life was ‘sh**t’ since the incident.
“A lot of people were wishing I was dead. They were writing to me going, ‘Why don’t you just f**king die!’. I wanted to say, I didn’t kiss YOUR wife!’
“I got so depressed I seriously considered taking my own life…into the jungle!”
Indeed, Walsh was one of the rumoured contestants to join last year’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here! line-up, but instead the comedian has maintained a fairly low profile up to now.
In the same video, the comedian also explained his affair to an apparently oblivious audience member. He explained that the ‘Strictly curse’ often involved Strictly couples ‘hooking up’ but that he’d ‘only been caught kissing.’
He then added that ‘I’d already split up with my girlfriend’ when the kissing incident occurred. This contradicts his ex-girlfriend, Rebecca Humphries’ claims, who says she dumped the star when she saw the photos of him kissing married Jones.
