'You're Meant to Be in Bed, Darling’: Ardern Interrupted by Daughter During Livestream

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern had her livestream interrupted by her daughter, who was up past her bedtime on Monday, November 8.

Ardern was holding a livestream to discuss the country’s changing public health restrictions when she was interrupted by her daughter Neve.

The prime minister is seen distracted by something out-of-shot, and a faint voice could be heard off-screen asking, “Mummy?”

“You’re meant to be in bed,” Ardern can be heard saying. “It’s bedtime darling – pop back to bed and I’ll come and see you in a second," she says.

“Sorry everybody,” Ardern says to her viewers. “That was a bedtime fail wasn’t it?” Credit: Jacinda Ardern via Storyful
