YouTube star Corey La Barrie dies in car crash, Ink Master’s Daniel Silva arrested

Ink Master star Daniel Silva has been arrested for murder following the death of YouTube star Corey La Barrie.

Australian YouTube star La Barrie died on his 25th birthday on Sunday 10 May after he was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles in which Silva was the driver.

The Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division said in a statement that 27-year-old reality star and tattooist Silva has been arrested for murder.

Silva was driving the McLaren sports car when it accidentally crashed into a street sign and a tree. He is reported to have attempted to flee the scene, but was stopped by other citizens coming to the help.

La Barrie - who had over 347k subscribers to his YouTube channel - was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

His brother Jarrad La Barrie paid tribute on Instagram.

He wrote: “This isn’t something I thought I would ever have to sit here and type out for a very long time or what I wanna do right now but everyone deserves to know, my brother Corey passed away last night in a car accident.

“This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do I don’t how I’m suppose to do this without you I miss you so much already this isn’t fair thank you for always being the best big brother I could ask for I love you so f**king much life’s never gonna be the same without you.”

Corey’s mother Lissa Burton wrote: “My heart breaks right now, on my son’s 25th birthday today... The accident killed him instantly. No words can describe the sadness I feel in loosening a child.

"It just feels so unreal and I’m overwhelmed with grief. I love you so much Corey and will miss you so so much. It’s just so unfair.”
