YouTuber Etika's fans in mourning as he's found dead at age 29

YouTube sensation Etika has been found dead in New York City.

The 29-year-old, whose real name was Desmond Amofah, was renowned for his gaming videos on YouTube where he discussed Nintendo releases. He even amassed more than 344,000 followers on Twitter and 314,000 on Instagram.

After one recent 8-minute video, in which he discussed his own suicidal thoughts as well as mental illness, Etika went missing for a number of days.

The NYPD has now confirmed the star's tragic passing in a social media post.

Following this heartbreaking news, Etika's legion of fans has taken to Twitter to mourn the beloved YouTuber.

One individual wrote: "RIP ETIKA Long Live a Legend," while another shared: "I'm truly devestated [sic] and tbh I'm just in denial right now. I can't really accept that you're gone. I'll always remember the joy you brought me."
