YouTuber Heads Out Into Hurricane Nicholas in Galveston

A man in Galveston, Texas, headed out into the elements on September 13 as Hurricane Nicholas was bearing down on the Gulf Coast to document the experience for his YouTube channel.

This video, captured by the man’s friend Mike Do, shows him barely keeping his feet on the ground while tethered to a yellow rope.

Do told Storyful his friend wanted to shoot the video to show his audience what it feels like to be in a hurricane.

Hurricane Nicholas made landfall on September 14, bringing winds of 75 mph.

The storm was set to bring heavy rainfall and life-threatening flooding to the upper Texas coast, Louisiana, southern Mississippi, and southern Alabama, the NHC said. Credit: Mike Do via Storyful
