Yusuf Aydin believes there are signs of improvement in this Hull FC side but they need to get more 'composed' in order to get the victory they crave. The Black and Whites are currently on a 11-game losing streak but they have shown signs of life in recent weeks.

For the forward, who joined the club on a two-year deal from local rivals Hull KR after an original loan period last month, it's about the taking of chances, with Hull needing to finish their sets better and put the ball in 'the right places' to at least challenge and ask some questions of the opposition.

Speaking to Hull FC Live after Friday's defeat in Huddersfield, Aydin, who is finding his feet at his new club, said: "The scorelines haven’t reflected in the way we’d like them but I’m enjoying my time here. I’ve played plenty of minutes and the boys have made me feel really welcome.

"I’m really glad to play my part in this team and hopefully we can build to that win and kick on from there. There are signs of us heading in the right direction but we’re not starting as well as should or as a good as we need to. We’re probably having to do too much at the back end to catch up and it’s not working out in our favour.

"It comes down to composure, finishing our sets good, and defending well. That’s what they (Huddersfield) did in the first half and it got them on top. They put the ball in all the right places and finished well. We were just a bit off and we were chasing the game.

"Composure is definitely the one. We need to finish sets and put them in a corner, allowing the game to build in our favour. It’s about playing with a bit of freedom and enjoying ourselves at the start of the game."

Without a victory since their round three success over London Broncos back in March, Hull are sticking together in a what has been a tough run. The wins may have escaped them, but the team spirit is still strong in training and going into games.

"That’s something that we’ve been really big on," Aydin explained. "We’ve come into training, reviewed games and made sure our heads don’t drop. We’re remaining positive and we're trying to keep a good buzz around the place.

"I’d like to think that’s led into some better performances over the last couple of weeks. We just need to keep sticking as one and hopefully that win will come.”

Despite their current run, one bright spark for Hull has been the rise of Logan Moy, who has started the last two games at full-back following a new three-year deal. The teenager has impressed Aydin, with his success centred on doing the right things day in and day out.

“He’s doing some really good things," Aydin added. "He’s training well and he’s fighting for his spot. He’s on the right path and the fact he’s just signed a three-year deal reflects his efforts and how he’s playing. As long as he keeps doing what he’s doing then he’s going to have a great future at Hull FC."
