Zac Efron And Vanessa Hudgens’ High School Musical Audition Tape Is Too Cute

It’s been ten whole years since Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens gave us all of the original #RelationshipGoals as Troy and Gabriella in High School Musical.

We feel pretty old right now.

As if the cast reuniting (minus Zefron, *sob*) for the film’s tenth anniversary wasn’t enough to make us feel seriously nostalgic, the reunion included a clip from Zefron and Vanessa’s 2005 audition tape.

And it’s more adorable than the Wildcats mascot.

The tenth anniversary special saw Vanessa, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman return to East High for a trip down memory lane.

All the cast’s audition tapes were shown, but the one that obviously stood out was Troyella’s - mainly because it proved the two had chemistry right from the start.

In the video, Vanessa (AKA Gabriella) tells Zac (AKA Troy): “Remember in kindergarten, how you’d meet a kid and know absolutely nothing about them and then 10 seconds later, you’re playing like you’re best friends, because you didn’t have to be anything but yourself?

“Singing with you felt like that.”

OH WE CAN’T.

Though Zac was sadly absent from the reunion, he did send a pre-taped message for the fans, saying: “Hey guys, I’m so sorry that I couldn’t be there in person but I’m with you all in spirit.

“My favorite scene from the movie has to be ’We’re All in This Together.’ The unity, the whole cast in that moment was just really, really fun. I’ll never forget that memory. It’s embedded in my mind as one of the most beautiful days of my entire life.

“Thank you for being part of this huge ’High School Musical’ extravaganza. It’s become the coolest thing that I’ve ever been a part of.”
