While everyone should be encouraged to wear whatever they feel confident and comfortable in - most people agree there needs to be a cut off point. It has prompted Zara shoppers to speak up about certain styles after spotting a 'monstrous' pair of shoes on sale for £59.99 on Zara's website, with some saying they're so ugly the fashion chain deserves "jail time".

Taking to TikTok, user Bronte Rose, who is known as @bronterose_ online, joked about buying the footwear to her boyfriend, who went on to question the design teams' mindset when creating them. The kitten heels are covered in a mesh fabric - but rather than a simple black design, they instead have pictures of feet on them, giving the illusion they're your well-groomed feet.

In her video, she says: "Zara has been cooking again. Who did this?" Focusing on the red toenail varnish, she joked: "They would actually kinda match my nails." Horrified by the footwear, her partner, Matt, shot down her request to buy the shoes with a puzzled expression across his face.

She added: "How this made it to shelves is wild. Who approved these. Surely you’re not even selling one pair. It has to be a joke." Commenting on her post, one user said: "Diabolical." Another user added: "What are those!" A third user said: "Haha oh my lord." One more user added: "Omg I saw these online today and went surely not. Who is buying these?" A final user said: "Omg. But why do the toes look like claws."

It comes after Zara shoppers flooded its website to get their hands on its showstopping party dress. The £59.99 tulle dress with ruffles and beads has become a must-have dress for winter after going viral on TikTok.

Commenting on the dress, one user said: "WHERE’S THE DRESS FROM YOU LOOK STUNNING," a second echoed: "Oh my god the dress! You look stunning! Can I know the brand?" and another added: "I actually gasped! This dress is divine."

A different commenter agreed: "This dress is gorgeous," and someone wrote: "Now THAT'S a DRESS!!" Others thought the outfit would be perfect for festive occasions, writing: "I love that dress it’s stunning. But I’m getting Christmas tree vibes. I would wear that to every Christmas event."
