Zayn Malik's 5-year-old cousin dies after brain tumour
Zayn Malik's 5-year-old cousin Arshiya Malik has died after a battle with a brain tumour.
The Malik family announced the tragic news on Tuesday (March 28) and paid tribute to their "beautiful princess" on their social media pages.
Arshiya's mother Zileh Malik posted a picture of her daughter on Instagram with the caption: "An angel wrote in the book of life my baby's date of birth, then whispered as she closed the book. 'Too beautiful for earth' R.I.P baby doll."
Zayn's youngest sister Waliyha said on Instagram:"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Rest is peace you beautiful princess, may Allah grant you the highest rank of Jannah."
In a touching post on Twitter, Waliyha added:"R.I.P Arshiya my beautiful princess. We love and miss you all very much. Insha'Allah you are in a better place now with no pain anymore."

Arshiya had been fighting the illness for the past few years. In 2014, Zayn's older sister Doniya asked his fans to pray for their cousin when she underwent brain surgery.

Since the news was announced, fans of the former One Direction star have been sharing messages of condolence and sending love and prayers to the Malik family at this time.
Zayn is yet to publicly comment on his cousin's passing.
