New Zealand Beat Scotland At Murrayfield

A man of the match performance from Dan Carter helped New Zealand to a 51-22 win over Scotland at Murrayfield.

The Kiwi kicked 21 points during the win, which included six tries for All Blacks.

Andy Robinson’s side scored the first try of the match as Matt Scott set up Tim Visser following an interception.

New Zealand hit straight back through Israel Dagg and it got worse for Scotland as Julian Savea, Cory Jane and Andrew Hore all scored before half-time.

Scotland did get another try when Geoff Cross burrowed over on the stroke of half-time, but the scoreboard made grim reading with the All Blacks leading 34-17 at the break.

Adam Thomson’s yellow card helped spark a second-half fight-back and when Tim Visser dived over for his second, the Murrayfield faithful sensed a shock win.

But it wasn’t to be, and when Julian Savea converted a superb chip from Dan Carter the writing was on the wall.

Ben Smith crashed over late on and Dan Carter kicked the conversion to take the tourists over the 50 point mark.
