The suspect in a stabbing attack at a supermarket in Auckland, New Zealand, on September 3 was shot and killed by police after six people were wounded.
Footage shared on social media shows several shoppers fleeing as shots ring out.
Police said in a statement that officers “located the man and he has been shot," adding that the suspect “died at the scene”.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the “terrorist attack” was carried out by a “violent extremist” who was a “known threat”. He was under “constant monitoring,” she said, and was killed within 60 seconds of the attack. Credit: Laleia Clark via Storyful
