Zelensky Meets UK Prime Minister During First Visit Since Russian Invasion

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the UK on February 8 for his first visit to the country since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

He was greeted upon arrival in Stansted Airport by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

In an address to the UK parliament, Zelensky urged the UK to send warplanes to Ukraine. “Two years ago, I left parliament thanking you for the delicious English tea,” he said. “Today I will leave parliament thanking all of you in advance for powerful English planes.”
