How would you celebrate if you just made history by winning an Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy Award at the age of 24? Exactly how Zendaya did last night. The actor picked up the gong for her role as teen drug addict Rue Bennett in HBO's Euphoria, and her celebration with her family was everything.

Zendaya was in the category with Jennifer Aniston (The Morning Show), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Laura Linney (Ozark), Olivia Colman (The Crown), and Jodi Comer (Killing Eve), so basically all the greats. Jodie Comer was the previous record holder when she won the award last year for Killing Eve aged 26. So, at 24, it means Zendaya's now the youngest ever actor to win that major category.

After her celebration, she thanked her family, team and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, whose past battle with drug addiction inspired the Drake-produced show.

"I appreciate you so much - you’re my family," Zendaya told Sam. "I’m so grateful for Rue. I’m so grateful that you trusted me with your story. I know this feels like a really weird time to be celebrating.

"But I just want to say that there is hope in the young people out there. I know that our TV show doesn’t always feel like a great example of that, but there is hope in the young people. And I just want to say to all my peers out there doing the work in the streets, I see you, I admire you, I thank you."

Congratulations Zendaya!
