Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo will return to the Manchester United squad to face Newcastle on Saturday, Jose Mourinho has said.

In a triple boost for United as they look to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat at Chelsea in their last Premier League match Mourinho will be able to call on three of his most important players from last season.

“Paul you can see. Clearly you can see there was a Manchester United this season before and after his injury,” said Mourinho.

“He has qualities that influence our approach in matches.

“Last season we played with Zlatan every minute. (We have) learned how to play without him. Of course we welcome him back. He is an incredible personality.”

Ibrahimovic, 36, suffered a season-ending cruciate ligament injury in April but the striker has returned significantly ahead of schedule, though it seems unlikely he will start ahead of Romelu Lukaku.

Rojo also injured himself in April whilst club record signing Pogba has been sidelined since September after injuring his hamstring in a Champions League tie against Basel.
