ZTE is rumoured to be getting into the phablet game with the ZTE P945, a 5.7-inch Android device.

The information comes from UnwiredView, which reports that the ZTE device could come with a 5.7-inch display, but with a restrained 720p display. That's not such a critical point: it might lower the pixel density, but should still make for a great big screen Android experience.

The rumours point to a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear- and 1-megapixel front-facing cameras. It is reported to be 9mm thick and have a 3000mAh battery, both of which sound appealing.

The image render shows a device which also incorporates Dolby audio, but the China Mobile marking suggest that it might never find its was out of China.

However, this follows the recent confirmation of a more powerful 5-inch Nubia Z5 device recently, due to make an appearance at CES 2013, along with the ZTE Grand S.

Whether the ZTE P945 makes an appearance or not remains to be seen, but with ZTE you never can be sure. We'll be at the press event at CES 2013 to bring you all the news, whatever the case.
